Subject to Authentication of English and French Versions. The Governments of Canada and of the Republic of Peru have reached the following understanding concerning biodiversity and traditional knowledge in connection with the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement signed this day: Canada and the Republic of Peru recognize that the equitable sharing of benefits that may result from the utilisation of traditional knowledge relevant for the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity can be addressed through appropriate mechanisms.
