Text of the agreement
  Background and Negotiations
    The U.S.-Israel Free Trade Area (FTA) Agreement was signed on 22 April 1985, ratified and signed into law (Public Law No. 99-47) by the United States on 11 June 1985 and ratified by the Israeli Cabinet on 20 August 1985, and came into force 1 September 1985. In July 2004, the United States and Israel exchanged letters agreeing to certain aspects of trade in agricultural products.
