Programas Preferenciales no recíprocos:  Ley de Crecimiento y Oportunidades para África ("AGOA")
 
  Antecedentes y documentos claves
    La Ley de Crecimiento y Oportunidades para África (AGOA, por sus siglas en inglés) se firmó el 18 de mayo de 2000 y se incorporó como ley en el Título 1 de la Ley sobre Comercio y Desarrollo. Esta ley se modificó en varias oportunidades. "AGOA II" se firmó el 6 de agosto de 2000 y se incorporó como ley en la Sección 3108 de la Ley sobre Comercio de 2002. La Ley de Aceleración de "AGOA" ("AGOA III") se firmó el 12 de julio de 2004. "AGOA III" amplia el acceso preferencial a países cubiertos por la legislación hasta el 30 de setiembre de 2015.
