Environmental Goods Agreement (EGA)
 
  Background and Negotiations
   

On 24 January 2014, 14 WTO Members pledged to launch negotiations on liberalizing trade in so-called “green goods” by eliminating tariffs on a broad list of green goods.  This will build upon the APEC list of 54 green goods PDF. The countries participating in the negotiations are: Australia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, the European Union, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United States.

Negotiations were launched in Geneva, Switzerland on 8 July 2014.
